ELIA (The European Language Industry Association) is the only European association of translation, interpretation and localisation companies. It was established as a forum for the exchange of experience and the development and promotion of business relationships between translation companies. LIDO-LANG is one of the founding members of ELIA; the first association CEO was Jerzy Nedoma (between 2004 and 2008), who is also a co-owner of our company. In 2005, LIDO-LANG hosted the ELIA organisation meeting in Krakow.

EULOGIA (The European Consortium of Translation Companies) is a consortium of translation companies from EU countries. LIDO-LANG has been the Polish representative since 2004 when central European countries joined the EU. EULOGIA members meet regularly once or twice a year in one of the EU Member States. During such meetings we exchange experiences, discuss business trends, opportunities and difficulties as well as new partnerships. In 2005, LIDO-LANG organised the EULOGIA conference in Krakow.

EUATC (The European Union of Associations of Translation Companies) is a European umbrella organisation for the national associations of translation companies. It was set up in order to help raise and maintain the highest quality and standards of translation services as well as to enable translation companies to share best practice and business experiences. EUATC organises annual translation sector conferences, which are attended not only by the representatives of particular national associations, but also by the representatives of fellow translation companies.

FEDER.CEN.TR.I (Federazione Nazionale dei Centri di Traduzione ed Interpretariato) is an Italian association of translation companies. LIDO-LANG has been one of only two foreign FEDER.CEN.TR.I members since 2002. The Italian market is significant for our company, as it was one of the first regions of LIDO-LANG’s international expansion. It is also the area from which many of our clients and partners originate.

GALA (Globalization and Localization Association) is a US-based association of globalisation and localisation companies. LIDO-LANG joined GALA in 2006 and has been an active member ever since, taking part in Localization World conferences in Europe, USA and China.

PSBT (the Polish Association of Translation Companies) is the only translation sector organisation that associates translation and localisation companies in Poland. PSBT’s main aims include representing Polish companies, promoting good practice and quality standards, research and training. LIDO-LANG has been a PSBT member since 2006, and has sponsored and co-organised many of the PSBT conferences and meetings.

Krakow Chamber of Industry and Commerce is a regional association of the largest companies in the Lesser Poland region. The Chamber aims to promote the member companies nationally and internationally, to represent their interests and co-create regional economic policy.
