TMS Inspiration Days will be held on 19-20 April in Cracow (Poland). During the conference, lectures on the most interesting technological and business issues on the translation market will be presented. A few weeks ago, the event organisers announced the first conference themes, today, the next five lecture titles are presented, including: “Creating a Sustainable Business Model for LSPs” (Ben Sargent), “Successful SEO Sales Strategies in a Multilingual World” (Richard Estevez, Gustavo Lucardi) and “Project Management Challenge - Serving Two Masters” (Bob Donaldson).
TMS Inspiration Days Presents Other Lectures
TMS Inspiration Days is an international conference in the translation and localisation market. Its third edition is scheduled to take place in April 19-20 in Cracow, Poland. A few weeks ago, the event organisers were announcing the first issues on the agenda, whereas today new presentations have appeared on the list. They include: “From Crystal Ball to Reliable: Sales Pipeline Management”, “Improving the Economics of Recruiting and Quality Assessment”, and “What is Integration and How Does it Work? The Integration of XTRF with MemoQ and XTM”.
The hundredth client of the Back Office department
The Back Office is a division of LIDO-LANG Technical Translations, which offers broadly defined technical support services related to the preparation of files with a complex layout for translation or editing. The department keeps developing gradually, offering new services and expanding its staff — in recent months the team has been joined by two people. In November of this year, the hundredth company used the services of the department.
First items of the TMS Inspiration Days agenda have been announced
TMS Inspiration Days is an international conference focusing on the functioning of the business and technology aspects of the translation industry. This third edition of the event will be held 19-20 April 2012 in Krakow under the banner of “Technology for business”. The conference agenda already includes three presentations: “Keynote: Overview of translation technology” (Ben Sargent), “Selling in America” (Renato Beninato), and “Implementation of Machine Translation – case study of Pangeanic” (Manuel Herranz).
LIDO-LANG Technical Translations celebrates its 20th birthday
LIDO-LANG Technical Translations was founded by Jerzy and Barbara Nedoma on 1 October 1991. Today, LIDO-LANG employs over 50 staff members and provides a broad range of translation services for major European and US corporations. LIDO-LANG's team gathered this week to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the company.
LIDO-LANG implements the latest version of the memoQ system
Starting from September 2011, LIDO-LANG Technical Translations offers translation projects in memoQ. It is undoubtedly one of the most sophisticated and fastest growing Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools that support and accelerate the execution of translation projects.
LIDO-LANG Technical Translations relocates
On 1 July 2011, LIDO-LANG Technical Translations moved to a new, larger office, located on Kamieńskiego Street in Krakow. The relocation is a result of the dynamic development of the company – more than 20 new employees joined the LIDO-LANG team last year.
Professor Józef Nedoma scholarship presented
LIDO-LANG Technical Translations is the founder of the Professor Józef Nedoma scholarship for the best students of Comprehensive Secondary School No. 1 in Krakow. The scholarship aims to support the school’s outstanding students who combine their interests in science and technical school subjects with a passion for foreign languages. The scholarship was presented on 22 June during the gala celebrating the end of the school year.
LIDO-LANG gains recognition in “Mom at Work”
LIDO-LANG Technical Translations has been awarded a prize in the “Mom at Work” contest. The aim of the competition, organised by an independent community foundation, is to reward companies and institutions who are friendly to present and future mothers. The prize, on behalf of LIDO-LANG, was collected by Natalia Betleja-Gruca, Operations Manager and mom of Hania, as well as by Anna Trzupek, Quality Assurance Manager and mom of little Asia.
LIDO-LANG Audited for EN 15038 Compliance
On Thursday, 21 April, Bureau Veritas Certification Polska conducted a certification audit. The audit aimed at verifying LIDO-LANG’s compliance with the EN 15038 requirements. Similarly to previous years, the audit results were a full success and LIDO-LANG achieved 92 out of 94 points.
