Our expertise spans technical and specialist translations, which can only be accomplished accurately through a translator's in-depth knowledge of the relevant subject matter. Everyone can think of various examples of technical translation, such as those concerning complex machinery, specialist equipment documents or science articles (dealing with subjects as complex as theoretical physics); These should only be translated by someone who possesses a deep, expert understanding of technology. For many years LIDO-LANG has been taking part in various international translation conferences – from San Antonio, Texas to Shanghai, China. This has allowed us to exchange experiences and knowledge with large and small translation companies from all over the world.
In 2005, LIDO-LANG achieved ISO 9001 Quality Certification, a standard that is maintained rigorously through annual audits and control visits that are conducted by the British Standards Institution (BSI). This demonstrates that we have not only implemented a quality management system, but we have also successfully incorporated it into our everyday business practices. We are one of the top twenty European translation companies that hold the European Quality Standard EN 15038:2006 - ‘Translation Services’, which was awarded to us in 2007 by Bureau Veritas. We regard our implemented quality system as a tool to facilitate continuous improvement across all the methods and procedures that are followed in our Company.
